Since 1995, GIRLS’BIZ has provided girls in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades a supported entrepreneurial experience.
This program offers girls the opportunity to be involved in the total operation of their group business, from concept to design and creation, from sales to business operations and customer response.
The girls calculate their profits, decide on the amount they will give to one or more charities, and then use the remainder of their profit for a group trip.
The girls learn to make important business decisions and how to talk to customers and sell their products. Their self-confidence grows as they interview entrepreneurs and learn about many different businesses.
The GIRLS’BIZ experience is an amazing adventure for the girls! The Foundation seeks to increase the number of GIRLS’BIZ companies in Madison and beyond.
