We offer an exciting opportunity to MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS through Experiential Entrepreneurial Education (E3)! We hope that you will join us in our quest!

Many dynamic changes take place in the girls who participate in a GIRLS’BIZ group. As business owners, they experience multiple aspects of entrepreneurship, including market research, branding, selling, pricing, inventory management, accounting, and networking. The impact of planning, making group decisions, the selling process, and all of the “AHA!” moments each of these girls experience is amazing. Their confidence grows, their opinions become more pertinent, and their decision-making improves. GIRLS’BIZ is an experience the girls will never forget.

The Foundation’s goal is to create many more opportunities and fill the demand for more GIRLS’BIZ groups. In order to do this, The Foundation for WWE was created and, with your help, we will make this happen. We have established audacious goals.

We encourage you to donate in any amount. Because we are a public charity exempted under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501 (c) (3), your donation is tax deductible under IRC Section 170.

Foundation for Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs General Fund which will help provide insurance, tax preparation, legal fees, social media development, video production, develop and run campaigns, standardize education and define repeatable processes for the GIRLS’BIZ program, define grant opportunities and develop scholarship processes, and more.

Individual or corporation sponsorship: Your sponsorship of $500 or more entitles you to recognition on the Foundation website community page

In-kind: We need meeting space for our programs, snacks for the meetings, and certain services, such as legal, accounting and transportation for the girls. Donations in these areas are greatly appreciated for the current group and will be available for other groups as they are formed.

Hold a Fundraising Event: “Cause marketing” is a type of partnership that involves your company donating a percentage of service or product sales to our organization on a day or over a week or a month or longer. This is a great opportunity to show your company’s commitment to the entrepreneurial education of women and girls.

VOLUNTEER

Board of Directors position. To be considered, please request a Board application packet.

Foundation committee member. Share your skills and expertise:

  • PR/Marketing: Help create and maintain our social media, produce videos and build our online presence
  • Fundraising: Develop and help run campaigns, secure sponsors, promote and build awareness, create E3 learning conferences
  • GIRLS’BIZ: Standardize the curriculum, define and document repeatable processes, manage growth and success
  • Grants & Scholarships: Define grant opportunities and develop scholarship processes.

GIRLS’BIZ program groups. Help by:

  • Presenting at a GIRLS’BIZ training session
  • Volunteering to teach the current GIRLS’BIZ program
  • Participating during training sessions
  • Assisting at a GIRLS’BIZ sales event

PLANNED GIVING

Planned gifts provide an opportunity to express a commitment to The Foundation for Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs, Inc. and positively impact the expansion of GIRLS’BIZ and entrepreneurial education for women in a lasting and meaningful way. A few of the most popular gifts are listed below:

Charitable Bequests: A bequest allows you to make a gift through a will or living trust. Charitable bequests are normally deductible in full for estate tax purposes. To make a bequest, please use the following language in your will or living trust: “I hereby give, devise, and bequeath (dollar amount, percentage of estate, or residual) to The Foundation for Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs, Inc., P.O. Box 8732, Madison WI 53708, for its general purposes.”

Life Insurance: You may have a life insurance policy that you no longer need. By simply naming The Foundation for Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs, Inc. as the sole beneficiary or as one of your beneficiaries, you can provide for the future of The Foundation for Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs, Inc., and you may receive estate and tax deductions.

Real Estate: The Foundation for Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs, Inc. accepts gifts of some types of unencumbered real estate. Contact The Foundation for Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs, Inc. for more information about gifts of real estate.

Life Income Gifts: Charitable Remainder Trusts: Charitable trusts allow you to give a significant gift to The Foundation for Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs, Inc. while retaining income for yourself or your spouse over a period of time or during your lifetime(s). There may be significant tax deductions associated with charitable trusts.

  • Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust: Provides a fixed income.
  • Charitable Remainder Unitrust: Provides a fluctuating income.
  • Charitable Lead Trust: Allows donors to “loan” their gift to The Foundation for Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs, Inc. and recover the gift principal at a date in the future.
